Studio Experience | |

Residing on Queensland's sunny Gold Coast, I was fortunate enough to be awarded a half-scholarship to attend Bond University's film program (under its Bachelor of Communications structure) starting in 1997. I chose to accept my admission there, rather than take a spot in QUT's highly-regarded film production school due largely to Bond's tight affiliation with Village Roadshow and the Warner Roadshow Studios that are based here on the Coast.
This decision was to prove fruitful.
I had, during high school, spent time as an intern/4th AD on the set of TV soap Pacific Drive. Bond allowed me to carry this association further when I was presented with the opportunity to act as a camera department intern on the 2nd season of the Flipper TV series.
Apparently, my brief stint on the Flipper set was enough to impress the production's Director of Photography as to see me offered full-time employment within that department for the shooting of the program's 3rd season.
Accepting the position over a competing offer made by Bond's own AV department, I worked as a Camera Assistant and Clapper/Loader until the season's conclusion after which time I opted to return to my studies and build upon my online publishing reach. And so concluded my first stint as a film industry professional.

Independent Film/Video Work | |
Last updated: Sunday, June 30th, 2002. |
Though I dabbled in video production prior to the commencement of my uni degree, it was within Bond's hallowed halls that my passion for the possibilities presented by filmmaking was nurtured and unleashed upon an unsuspecting (and unfortunate) public.
Perhaps my greatest stroke of luck was in meeting with an equally-enthusiastic group of film fanatics and philosophical types during my degree, which further fortified not only my appreciation for the artform, but provided the framework on which a ready-crew could be assembled within mere hours of notice.
Below, you will find some of the works that I and my associates completed during the period of 1997-1999 in and around the Gold Coast area:

Animation | |

I've always had a fascination with the boundless realm of animation, and was thus drawn to the artform at an early age.
As far as education goes, I've completed both a ... tertiary-level certificate course at TAFE and a full university subject on 3D animation entitled ... Through sheer hard work (and perhaps a teeny pinch of natural talent) I was able to top my class in this latter course - with a semester grade of 99%.
Central to the ... course was NewTek's superb LightWave 3D software package, of which I am presently an experienced user. Below is a sample of the work I completed using LightWave 3D, Photoshop, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere as part of my degree course:
